Prepare for Solo and Ensemble on Friday

We will be working on our Solo/Ensemble repertoire to prepare for next Friday, February 9th.

We will be continuing SightReading practice both single line and part singing

This Saturday is Region Auditions.

I will be working with the region students making sure they are secure and ready.

The other students are submitting papers that give me 10 facts about a musical time period and 10 facts about a composer.  That will become their daily grade.

Monday – Renaissance/Claudio Monteverdi

Tuesday – Baroque/J S Bach

Wednesday – Classical/Beethoven

Thursday – Romantic/Schumann

Friday – Impressionistic/Debussy

We will work on concert music.  During enrichment, I will work with the students auditioning for Region.

We will continue work on the chromatic scale and the intervals related to it.

We will be working on concert music on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Tuesday and Thursday will be used to work on region music.

Fittings for formal wear will happen this week, also.
